The mission of the FOP Lodge #109 is to represent and protect the welfare and safety of all union members and act as the sole collective bargaining agent for all SEPTA Police Officers, Detectives, Sergeants, and Lieutenants.
The FOP Lodge #109 works diligently to protect all its members of the SEPTA Transit Police Department and actively promotes legislation that benefits the interests of its members and their families.
The Fraternal Order of Transit Police (FOTP)/FOP Lodge #109 was established in 1992. The FOP Lodge #109 currently has 181 active members who ensure the public safety of the hundreds of millions of residents who ride SEPTA’s public transportation every day in Philadelphia and the four surrounding collar 4 counties as well as Delaware and New Jersey.
The active members enforce city and state laws to make certain SEPTA passengers as well as SEPTA employees are safe 24/7. Our members take pride in serving and protecting the millions of annual riders of the transit system that rely on it every day.
